Geoff, in a brilliant piece of strategic planning, organised a pre-season internal practice match not for the obvious reason of providing the team with a chance to get reacquainted with the game of cricket as played in the open, but in order deceive the weather gods into showing their hand early. And it seems they fell for the ruse hook, line and sinker, deluging Fitz today and, hopefully, having nothing but sunshine left for next Tuesday's match against Romsey Town.
