Remnants vs. The Globe
Tuesday, August 20, 2002
Fitzwilliam College
Remnants (106/3 in 12 8-ball overs)
lost to
The Globe (107/5 in 10.3 8-ball overs)
by 5 wickets.
Report by Daniel Mortlock:
Not having played in this game I don't know what happened other than
the following:
-
We batted like Wallys, except for Ev Fox (31), Phil Marshall
(20-odd) and Nick Clarke (also 20-odd).
-
We bowled like Wallys, except for Robin Woolley (two great wickets,
including one in which the batsman didn't believe he was bowled, rather
like Mike Gatting's disbelieving response to "that ball" from Shane
Warne in 1993); Russell Woolf (who got his bunny, Mick Taylor, again)
and Andy Owen (0/37 off 2 overs, the poor figures being
due to poor fielding, apparently).
-
We fielded like Wallys, except again for Robin Woolley who snared a
run out and almost took what would have been the catch of the season.
So, there you have it - another loss in what's turning out to be
one of the
least
successful Remnants seasons Remnants has ever had . . .
