Education Nomads vs. Remnants

Wednesday, July 17, 2002
Leys School

Remnants (142/0 in 20 six-ball overs)
lost to
Education Nomads (6/144 in 19.2 six-ball overs)
by 4 wickets.

Report by Daniel Mortlock:

Nick Clarke (76*) and Phil Watson (61*) both batted through our 20 overs to post an impressive total . . .

. . . which the Education Nomads made a mockery of - despite Rich Savage (1/27), Andy Owen (1/30) and Phil Marshall (1/21) all getting wickets, Les Collings taking an amazing one-handed gully catch, and Phil complementing his batting with bowling figures of 2/23 to complete the season's best all-round performance. We did take the game to the final over, but what was described as a "streaky" four in the last over was enough for them to win the game with 4 balls remaining.
