Remnants vs. Cambridge Consultants

Fitzwilliam College

Cambridge Consultants (88/8 in 20 6-ball overs)
lost to
Remnants (91/7 in 19.1 6-ball overs)
by 3 wickets.

Having restricted Cam Cons to just 88/8 in their 20 (six_ball) overs, it seemed we were going to win in a canter: at 79/3 in the 17th over we needed just 13 runs with 7 wickets and 18 balls remaining. But after a fantastic catch (described by Sal as "ACE *" in the scorebook) and a couple of run outs the equation had changed somewhat: we were 80/7, and now needed 12 runs to win from just 10 balls, and with only 3 wickets left. Fortunately sanity prevailed, and a couple of timely boundaries from Will Gotley (6*) and Faruk Kara (4*) meant that we ended up winning with 5 balls left.
